About Laurel:
As an educator and HR leader with over 20 years of experience supporting entry-level to C-suite talent, I partner with organizations, teams, and individuals to increase their effectiveness and resilience.
Following the completion of a Master of Science degree focused on experiential education, I've built a career with values-driven organizations in roles of increasing responsibility. As a National Director of Human Resources, I provided executive-level leadership, training, and strategic consultation across multiple functional areas, including the C-suite, Finance, Sales, IT, Educational Programming, Operations, Risk Management, and Hospitality Services, for a $20M organization operating across six U.S. states.
I founded my consulting practice to extend that impact more broadly, in response to the growing need for expert guidance on employee well-being and retention. Since then, I have served more than 50 organizations, both directly and through collaborative partnerships, spanning a wide range of industries, including Higher Education, Environmental and Arts Nonprofits, Education Technology, Legal, Software, Insurance, Engineering, E-commerce, Construction, and Environmental Consulting.
In addition to extensive hands-on experience in talent development and retention, I hold advanced credentials in both human resources and professional coaching. These include the Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), the International Coaching Federation Professional Certified Coach (PCC) designation, and the Certified Co-Active Professional Coach (CPCC) certification, equipping me to support client organizations with industry best practices.
